12/7/12

 In the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas break we will be tying up a few loose ends in our subjects. We will have Science/Math and Civics Tests coming up to help enable us to reach a good stopping point before Christmas break. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Christmas Program this weekend. MATH: There will be a Pre-Algebra test on Tuesday. It will cover chapter 3, Solving Equations. Algebra 1 students will be working with relations and translations.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be studying civic duties and responsibilities next week.

SCIENCE: We will have a test on Tuesday. It will cover Chapter 5, Stars and Galaxies.

RELIGION: We will be working on our mural project and begin preparing for the November, 1 mass.

SPELLING: We will be on Unit 9, words can be found on pg. 60.

MATH: Algebra 1 students will have a test on Tuesday. It will cover Chapter 3, Solving Linear Equations. Pre-Algebra students will be solving multi-step equations. General Math students will be dividing integers.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will have a test over Chapter 4, The Bill of Rights, on Tuesday.

SCIENCE: We will continue studying stars and galaxies.

RELIGION: We will be studying the Rosary and helping the preschoolers make rosaries.

SPELLING: We will be on Unit 8. Words can be found on pg. 54.

TESTS: TUESDAY- CHAPTER 3 ALGEBRA 1 TEST

MATH: Students will not be allowed to use calculators on any of the review work next week.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be studying the first 10 Amendments next week.
SCIENCE: We will have a test over Chapter 4, The Solar System, on Thursday.
RELIGION: We will have an open book test on Monday and will spend the rest of the week preparing for Mass.

MATH: Algebra 1 students will continue working with integers next week. Pre-Algebra students will be multiplying and dividing negative and positive integers.
SCIENCE: There will be a test on Wednesday. It will cover Chapter 3, The Earth-Sun-Moon System.
CIVICS: We will continue studying the Constitution next week.
RELIGION: We will be covering the basics of the New Testament next week.

MATH: Algebra 1 students will be adding and subtracting rational numbers. Pre-Algebra students will be adding and subtracting integers. General Math students will be working with scientific notation.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will studying the structure of the Constitution next week.
SCIENCE: We be learning about the characteristics of Earth’s moon.
RELIGION: We will discussing God’s revelation next week.
SPELLING: We will be on Unit 3, words can be found on pg. 24.

MATH: There will be an Algebra 1 Test on Thursday. It will cover Chapter 1, Order of Operations. There will also be a Pre-Algebra Test on Thursday. It will cover Chapter 1, Order of Operations.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will have our first Civcs test of the school year on Wednesday. It will cover Chapter 2, Roots of American Democracy.

SCIENCE: We will have a Science Test on Tuesday. It will cover Chapter 2, Roots of American Democracy.

RELIGION: We will be studying the different attributes of God next week.

SPELLING: We will be on Unit 2, words can be found on pg. 18.

MATH: Algebra 1 students will be working with order of operations next week. In Pre-Algebra students will be evaluating expressions and variables.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be discussing the theory of Mercantilism and the events that lead up to our nations first government being formed.

SCIENCE: We will be studying some early space missions next week. Including the Apollo missions.

RELIGION: We are in charge of mass next Thursday. We will be preparing for it next week and students will be working on a symbols assignment.

SPELLING: We will be on Unit 1. The Pre-Test is on Thursday and the Test is on Friday. The spelling list can be found on pg. 12.
